Valentine’s Day, that is. Some people love it, some people hate it, and some people… Just don’t care either way. But if you are one of the ones that love it or you at least know your spouse loves it then you need to have a really good card ready. It carries even more weight If you made it by hand! I’m doing a demo February 8th for the Illinois Art league on how to create these little beauties.
But if you think you’re all thumbs and you need more than a 30-minute demo I also have classes to offer either in my studio or online with Zoom. You can find a variety of them with the dates and times on my website. I personally will be glad to show you step by step how to create a card you can be proud of.
Over the last few days I have been putting my newsletters together. All things Valentine! Almost at least. I have a feeling by Valentine’s Day I might be a little tired of seeing hearts but for now I’m loving them.
Oh, and if you want to come to that 30-minute demo (No charge) through the Illinois Art league drop me an email here and I’ll personally get you on the invite list. Yes, you Do have to know how to navigate your way around Zoom because I will end up sending you a link that you click on and if you have used zoom before it will bring you right into the room.
If you’re looking for the mini Valentines like we used to get in school that you can hand out or give with a present I can set you up there too. These are more sophisticated than the 32 per box you buy at the dollar store, these are prints of my art with matching colored envelopes!
I had so much fun making this in a way it took me back to school days. Well let me know what you think, please feel free to leave comments below. I do try to read them all, oh who am I kidding it’s not like there’s ever a hundred comments, lol. Surprise me won’t you?
What supplies do YOU need organized? Maybe it’s one that will work into this handy organizer! I use a couple of these to organize my pencils, brushes, and more! (and they are Not hanging on doors!) They are traditionally “Shoe Pockets” but have SO many more uses. I also have one in the back hall holding all kings of things we don’t want to spend loads of time looking for… shopping bags, duct tape, glue, spray bottles. It’s like a wall size junk drawer!
Do you have an organizational tip you can share here? I’d love to hear about it! Just comment below!
and.. .Happy New Year!
PS Sign up to receive my newsletter (once a month) and you’ll get the full list of art supplies I like to use!
Sometimes I forget to mention how much of my art is available on redbubble. This is a site where artists can upload their art and turn it into 50 different products with the click of a mouse! It’s quite ingenious really. There’s nothing like seeing your art turned into a shower curtain, bath mat, mask, a phone cover or 40 other things including now… jigsaw puzzles! One of my favorites to see it on are the leggings, socks, and mini skirt!
So if you think you want to gift or wear my art or have it around Your house, I invite You to check out my red bubble shop
And remember please that although I have roughly 39 designs available there, I have much more art not yet uploaded So if there is something you particularly like I would like to see what it looks like on one of the red bubble products, contact me and I will gladly upload it for you to see. No commitment required.
As a New Year’s present for you all, I created this wallpaper which you can use on a PC, a laptop, or mobile device. Just scoot it around until you like it on whatever device you have. Cheers! and … Be safe.
